In a joint operation led by the Mumbai Cyber Crime Branch and the Morigaon Cyber Crime Branch, five members of a cyber fraud gang were arrested from the greater Laharighat area. The arrested individuals have been identified as:

Azharul Islam
Mahibur Rahman
Mahiuddin Ahmed
Abdul Malek
These individuals are believed to have been involved in criminal cyber activities, and a case had previously been registered against them by the Mumbai Cyber Crime Branch. Acting on intelligence inputs, both the Mumbai and Morigaon police carried out a late-night search operation across multiple locations in Laharighat. The operation was a success, and the five suspects were apprehended on the spot.
Authorities have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, with the police working to uncover more details about the gang’s operations and potential other associates involved in the cyber fraud activities.
