BIG PINE KEY, Fla. — Three Winn-Dixie employees were arrested on July 30 for allegedly stealing from the store.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office identified the suspects as 68-year-old Gwendolyn Luvenia Carter of Big Pine Key, 27-year-old Arianna Garica Placeres of Miami, and 20-year-old Anyeline De La Caridad Pacheco Espinoza of Spring Hill.

The arrests followed an investigation that began in June after the store reported that employees were scanning items, voiding the electronic transactions, and then keeping the merchandise without paying.

All three are facing petit theft charges, and warrants were issued prior to their arrests.
