Ambala police have arrested three men in connection with a murder that occurred during a wedding ceremony at Ambala Cantonment on Monday. The accused — Sagar, Shivam, and Sahil — were produced before a court, which granted police two days of remand for further investigation.

The arrests were made by a team led by Ambala Cantt SHO Lakhbir Singh. During the remand, authorities aim to recover the murder weapon and question the suspects to identify any additional individuals involved.

According to police, the incident occurred at Siya Vatika Palace, where a dispute at a wedding escalated into violence. The complaint was filed by Sukhraj Singh, a resident of Sonda village. The victim, Sonu, was attacked with a knife, sustaining fatal injuries and dying at the scene. Two of his friends who intervened were also injured and are receiving treatment.

Ambala SP Ajit Singh Shekhawat said, “The fight occurred outside the reception party. One person received a stab wound and died. Two others who tried to intervene were injured. CCTV footage helped identify the three main suspects, and investigation is ongoing.”

A case has been registered at the Ambala Cantt police station, and police are actively pursuing leads to apprehend any other accomplices.
