MIAMI, Fla. — Two men are facing multiple felony charges after Miami police say they were involved in an armed cocaine trafficking operation that ended with their arrests during a sting in the city’s Flagami neighborhood.
Jose Benjamin Corujo, 31, of northwest Miami-Dade, and Jose Andre Reyes, 26, of Miami, were taken into custody Thursday evening following a controlled drug buy conducted by police in the parking lot of the Air Park Plaza shopping center, located at Northwest Seventh Street and 57th Avenue.
Following the bust, officers searched Reyes’ home in the Allapattah neighborhood and uncovered a significant weapons and drug cache:
10 rifles, including an AK-47
3 handguns, ammunition, and magazines
181 grams of cocaine
484 grams of marijuana
Prescription drugs including Oxycodone, Adderall, and Xanax
Both men were already on probation at the time of their arrests. Reyes was on probation for attempted murder, while Corujo’s probation stemmed from an April 2024 incident in Coral Gables, where he was arrested after reportedly slapping a police officer and fleeing. Officers later found a bag of cocaine on him.
Court records reveal Reyes was designated a “youthful offender” following a 2016 attempted murder case. Details were not immediately available, but he was previously granted withheld adjudication and probation.
Both suspects were booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, where they remain held with bonds pending.
Police have not ruled out additional charges as the investigation continues.
