A 19-year-old man, Shubham Ashok Madiwal, has been arrested for forging documents and presenting a fake guarantor to evade legal obligations related to a chapter case. The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon, November 28, at the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone 1, in Pimpri-Chinchwad.
Madiwal, a resident of Hadapsar, was facing legal proceedings for a chapter case. In an attempt to comply with the case requirements and avoid the legal repercussions, he fabricated documents to present Vikas Krishna Mane, a 28-year-old resident of Mane Vasti, Nandure village in Solapur District, as a fake guarantor.
To carry out the forgery, Madiwal altered Mane’s identity and address, creating counterfeit documents under the name of Santosh Maruti Talekar of Nigdi. These forged documents were then submitted to the Deputy Commissioner’s office for approval.
However, the forgery was detected upon scrutiny, prompting immediate action by the authorities. Both Madiwal and Mane were arrested and handed over to Chinchwad Police Station for further investigation.
Assistant Police Inspector Vitthal Karambalkar is leading the inquiry to uncover more details about the forgery, its motives, and whether there are any other accomplices involved. The investigation is ongoing.
This case highlights the increasing use of fraudulent tactics to circumvent legal obligations, and authorities have emphasized the importance of vigilance in verifying documents related to legal matters.
