14 Arrested in Hesperia Train Burglary Crackdown

$42K in stolen BNSF property, $55K cash recovered

HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Fourteen people were arrested Monday in connection with an ongoing investigation into train burglaries across the Victor Valley, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

On October 6, 2025, at around 6:30 a.m., investigators with the Rural Crimes Task Force, assisted by BNSF railroad police and the Hesperia Station Detective Bureau, executed a search warrant at a residence in the 14600 block of Willow Street in Hesperia.

As officers arrived, seven suspects attempted to flee, but were quickly captured with help from the Sheriff’s Aviation Unit and Hesperia deputies. Seven more individuals were detained inside the residence.

Investigators recovered stolen BNSF railroad property valued at approximately $42,500, which was returned to the railroad. They also seized about $55,000 in cash during the operation.

All 14 suspects were booked into the High Desert Detention Center on charges of possession of stolen property (PC496(A)) and conspiracy (PC182(A)(1)).

Arrested suspects include:
Jose Rodriguez Cecena, 28; Tomas Valdez Olivares, 25; Jesus Jimenez Gonzalez, 24; Johan Camargo Salazar, 25; Juan Oliveras Valdez, 27; Jesus Fierro Escalante, 22; Leobardo Corral Corrales, 46; Juan Jimenez Garcia, 29; Ezequiel Jimenez Gaxiola, 36; Jose Navarette Carrillo, 24; Isidro Mendivil Mendez, 23; Armando Gonzalez, 20; Eloid Paz Lizarraga, 21; and Guadalupe Alejandro Raya, 26.

Officials say this latest operation follows a previous investigation in which 17 suspects were arrested and over $376,000 in stolen property was recovered in the Victor Valley region.
