Tarisai Musakanda, a former Zimbabwean international cricketer, has been arrested on charges of attempted murder following a violent altercation with his wife, Tinodiwanashe Makunike. The incident, which marks a troubling chapter in Musakanda’s personal life, is the latest in a series of legal troubles for the cricketer, who had not played for the national team for nearly two years.

According to police reports, the altercation began after Tinodiwanashe hired two men to build a shelter at her vending site. When the workers returned to collect their payment, the situation quickly escalated. Musakanda became involved in the dispute, and the confrontation turned violent.

At around 3 a.m., neighbors were awakened by screams coming from the house. The alarming cries for help prompted immediate action from residents in the area, who rushed to the scene. When they arrived, they found a chaotic and frightening situation unfolding.

An anonymous neighbor, who witnessed the incident, described the horrifying scene, expressing concern over the severity of the altercation. The authorities have since taken Musakanda into custody, and investigations into the incident are ongoing.

This arrest adds to Musakanda’s troubled legal history, which includes a charge related to a fatal car accident in 2022. The cricketer’s personal and professional life continues to be overshadowed by these serious allegations.
