Two men from Herefordshire, Zac and Ryan Jones, have been sentenced for their involvement in a drug-dealing operation, alongside a woman who assisted them.

At Worcester Crown Court on May 30, Zac Jones, 23, of Muir Close in Hereford, was sentenced to three years and four months for his role in the supply of Class A cocaine. Additionally, he received a concurrent one-month sentence for criminal damage and was ordered to pay £265 in court costs.

Ryan Jones, 22, of Birch Close in Hereford, received a three years and four months sentence for his involvement in the same drug supply operation. His sentence includes an additional two months for assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH). He was also ordered to pay £165 in court costs.

Tegan Green, 26, from Herrick Vale in Ledbury, was sentenced to eight months and two weeks, suspended for 12 months, for assisting an offender. She was given a 7pm to 7am curfew for three months and a 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement.

Detective Sergeant Jim Moore of Hereford Proactive CID described the investigation into this complex drug-dealing operation as significant, emphasizing the role both Zac and Ryan Jones played in not only distributing drugs but also in engaging in violence and threats. Green was found to have assisted the pair by helping them flee to other cities before their eventual arrest in Plymouth.

The sentencing serves as a warning that West Mercia Police are committed to combating the supply of illegal drugs, working alongside the local community and partners to tackle such crimes. Green’s actions also demonstrate the consequences of aiding offenders.

West Mercia Police urges the public to continue reporting criminal activity through their official website under the “Report A Crime” section.
