A woman avoided jail time after being caught with three kilograms of cocaine at a service station in Tewkesbury, England. Kirsty Sansum, 30, was arrested on March 11, alongside 29-year-old John Rogers, who was present in the car at the time of the arrest.
During the investigation, authorities discovered the stash of drugs hidden under the front seat of the car. Further examination of their phones revealed that Sansum and Rogers were working with two other individuals, Kingsley Williams, 28, and Aaron Russell, 30, to supply cocaine.
The four individuals pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply cocaine. As a result, the court handed down the following sentences:
John Rogers: 5 years and 3 months in prison
Kingsley Williams: 6 years and 9 months in prison
Aaron Russell: 6 years in prison
Kirsty Sansum: A two-year suspended sentence, along with nine months of drug rehabilitation and 100 hours of unpaid work
Additionally, authorities ordered the forfeiture of $1,800 and a Rolex watch that belonged to Russell.
Detective Inspector Matt Phillips of Gloucestershire Constabulary called the conspiracy “significant,” emphasizing the impact these drugs could have had on local communities. He stated, “These drugs would have eventually ended up on our streets, bringing misery to the lives of our communities.”
