Woman Arrested for Murder of Her Sister in Pathum Thani

Pathum Thani – A 51-year-old woman, Bongkot Kaewkrom, was arrested on Tuesday night in Khlong Luang district on charges of premeditated murder. She is accused of killing her elder sister, Vorakanok Thepphimol, a senior administrator, who was found dead in November 2024.

Police apprehended Bongkot after executing an arrest warrant issued by the Thanyaburi Provincial Court. The investigation, led by Pol Lt Gen Yutthana Jonkhun, revealed that Vorakanok had been stabbed 11 times in the neck at her home in Moo 8 village, tambon Khlong Sam.

Bongkot was initially the one to notify police about her sister’s death, claiming to be the first to discover her body. However, after a detailed investigation and forensic analysis, police linked her to the murder. Authorities had earlier arrested Bongkot’s boyfriend, Pratin Ketlaporn, 43, after finding the victim’s DNA on a knife he had been carrying.

Despite her arrest, Bongkot maintains her innocence and expressed shock at being implicated in the crime. Her charges include premeditated murder and illegal use of a knife. The investigation continues as authorities piece together further evidence.
