Woman Arrested for Duping Job Seekers in Karnataka

In Kalaburgi, Karnataka, a 30-year-old woman named Reshma, also known as Swapna, was arrested by Cyberabad Cyber Crimes for allegedly duping job seekers in Hyderabad. Posing as a “Senior HR Manager” at Cognizant Technology Solutions (CTS), she lured victims with promises of lucrative job opportunities in multinational companies.

Victims were swindled out of significant sums of money, believing they had secured positions through her. The operation to apprehend Reshma was led by Deputy SPs Hari Krishna and KVM Prasad, under the supervision of SP Devender Singh. Key contributions to the operation were made by Inspectors D Srinu, Mahender, and constables Venkat Goud, Syed Taher, Krishna Swamy, and Shanker.

The investigation highlights the ongoing issue of job scams targeting vulnerable individuals seeking employment in competitive markets.
