ESTERO, Fla. — What started as a medical call at Rusty’s Raw Bar & Grill on Thursday turned into a dramatic DUI arrest when McKenzie Krysten Mosley, 31, allegedly tried to bribe a deputy to avoid charges.
Lee County deputies were initially responding to a medical call, but they soon discovered Mosley, intoxicated in her car, prompting a DUI investigation. Witnesses at the scene were not surprised by the incident, with one regular remarking, “You see, a lot of people get a little too drunk here.”
However, the situation quickly escalated. On the way to the hospital, Mosley reportedly became loud and disruptive, attempting to make an unauthorized phone call and threatening officers. She allegedly claimed her father in the Marines would “shoot and kill everyone.”
At the Lee County Jail, the situation took another turn when Mosley offered a deputy “whatever he wanted” in an attempt to bribe her way out of the situation. She then increased her offer, attempting to bribe the deputy with $1,200.
Regulars of Rusty’s expressed disapproval of Mosley’s actions, with one commenting, “You got to own up to your actions and face the consequences.”
Mosley now faces multiple charges, including DUI, bribery, and intimidation.
