Wisconsin Man Arrested for 1st-Degree Reckless Homicide in Overdose Death

CAMPBELL, Wis. (WFRV) – A 47-year-old man from Wisconsin was arrested on Tuesday around noon in connection with an overdose death that occurred earlier this year. The arrest followed a months-long investigation into the death of an individual on La Crescent Street in July 2024.

The suspect, identified as Pfaff, was taken into custody at approximately 11:54 a.m. and charged with 1st-degree reckless homicide.

Following his arrest, a search of Pfaff’s residence uncovered additional evidence. Pfaff was already on probation for a 2022 case involving possession with intent to deliver meth.

He is currently held in the La Crosse County Jail on pending charges and a probation hold. Further details on the investigation have not been provided at this time.
