PALESTINE, Texas (KLTV) — Lucas Stevens, 31, of Winona, was arrested on Sunday after a suspicious person report led to a large drug bust and firearm discovery in Palestine.
At approximately 4:32 a.m., Palestine police responded to a call from a resident in the 2100 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard, where a man was reportedly seen outside with a flashlight. Officers located Stevens nearby and discovered multiple firearms in his truck.
Following the discovery of the weapons, officers conducted a further search and found a substantial amount of drugs, including 380 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 97 grams of suspected oxycodone, marijuana, THC vape cartridges, and various items typically associated with drug trafficking.
Stevens, who has multiple prior felony convictions, was arrested and charged with:
Two counts of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance
Fraudulent use or possession of identification information
Falsification of drug test results
Possession of marijuana
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Unlawfully carrying a weapon
Unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon
He remains in Anderson County Jail with bonds totaling $490,500.
