Daniel Arellano-Mata, a 28-year-old Winder man, was arrested in connection with multiple burglaries in Barrow County. The Barrow County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) responded to a burglary report on Atlanta Highway SE on Wednesday.
When deputies arrived, a K-9 unit tracked the suspect, leading them to a nearby residence. Officers discovered items believed to be stolen outside the suspect’s home. The description provided by a neighbor helped them identify Arellano-Mata, who was then apprehended.
A search warrant led to the discovery of stolen items linking Arellano-Mata to at least four burglaries in Barrow County and Statham. He was arrested and booked into the Barrow County Detention Center on one count of burglary. Additional charges are expected as the investigation continues.
