BARNWELL, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) – Authorities have arrested a suspect in connection with a drug-related death in Barnwell County. The Barnwell County Sheriff’s Office announced on Tuesday that Willis “Cowboy” Craig Williams was arrested on Friday for manslaughter related to the death of a man on February 12.
In addition to manslaughter, Williams faces charges of distributing heroin and distributing drugs within close proximity to a school or playground. Following his arrest, Williams was transported to jail and later had a bond hearing.
The sheriff’s office is continuing to investigate the case, and further details about the crime have been requested.
