MARION, N.Y. (Wayne County Sheriff’s Office) – A Williamson woman is facing charges after allegedly stealing items from a Dollar General store in Marion and attempting to flee the scene before being caught by deputies.

Juana J. Forshee, 44, of Arrowbend Drive, was arrested on March 20 after deputies responded to a report of an in-progress larceny at the store. The incident occurred around 5:06 p.m. when store associates were alerted by an anti-theft alarm and spotted Forshee hastily heading toward her car, apparently trying to escape unnoticed.

Store employees quickly provided a description of Forshee and her vehicle to 911 operators. Deputies then spotted the suspect vehicle traveling northbound on Route 21 in Williamson and initiated a traffic stop. During questioning, Forshee admitted to stealing several items, including a pack of Corona beer, Beggin’ Strips dog treats, and two BIC lighters.

Forshee was charged with petit larceny, processed at the Sheriff’s Office, and released with an appearance ticket. She is scheduled to appear in Marion Town Court on April 23 at 1:00 p.m. to answer the charge.
