WEST HAVEN, Conn. — A 33-year-old West Haven man, Kyle Thomas, was arrested Friday on an outstanding warrant, facing charges related to weapons and narcotics possession.
Thomas was charged with possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of ammunition, criminal possession of a firearm, and criminal possession of body armor. The arrest stemmed from an investigation that began on December 17, when authorities discovered firearms and drugs at Thomas’ residence, according to the arrest warrant.
At the time of his arrest, Thomas was already in custody at Bridgeport Correctional Center on other charges. The warrant for his arrest was issued following an investigation by state police detectives connected to a previous shooting incident.
As a convicted felon, Thomas is prohibited from possessing firearms. He is being held on a $350,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in Milford Superior Court on January 6.
