FAYETTE COUNTY, Ala. — Wendy Pamela Bailey, 22, has been arrested after allegedly admitting that she knew her toddler’s body had been stored in an outdoor storage shed. The discovery follows an investigation into the deaths of Steven Bradley Collins, 40, and 2-year-old Ryleigh Collins, who were killed in an accident. A third child, 1-year-old Kahleb Rowan Collins, was reported missing until it was revealed that his body had been hidden.
Bailey is accused of failing to intervene or report the abuse, which involved her partner Steven Collins, who is alleged to have physically abused Kahleb. Evidence gathered during the investigation includes photos showing the child bloodied and bruised, as well as distressing messages sent by Collins, including “He want move,” “I’m so sorry,” and “He moving.” Bailey allegedly responded with, “He just looks wore out and tired and hopefully that’s all.”
Though authorities have not recovered the toddler’s body, they continue to search for it while gathering more information about the situation. Investigators are focusing on the location of the storage shed and further examination of Bailey’s role in the tragic events. Bailey is facing significant charges as the investigation unfolds.
