Webster Thomas Sentenced to 10 Years for 2022 Drug Case

CONWAY, S.C. – A 37-year-old man, Webster Thomas, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to charges stemming from a 2022 drug case. The sentence was handed down by Honorable Circuit Court Judge S.B. Doby.

Thomas was convicted for possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, a charge that carries no possibility of parole. The case began almost three years ago following two separate traffic stops.

In the first incident, Thomas led Myrtle Beach officers on a high-speed chase, which ended with him crashing into a ditch. During the search of the vehicle, officers found over 33 grams of crack cocaine. In another stop later that same year, a large amount of money and additional crack cocaine were discovered.

Thomas will serve his sentence as part of the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat drug distribution in the area.
