Delaware State Police have arrested 30-year-old Wayne Warwick from Millsboro, Delaware, in connection with multiple theft and burglary incidents in the Oak Orchard area. Warwick was apprehended on August 29, 2024, after being identified as the suspect in a string of crimes that occurred between August 23 and August 24, 2024.
The investigation began on August 24, when police responded to a burglary on the 28000 block of Cherokee Avenue in Millsboro. Upon arrival, they discovered that an unknown suspect had forced entry into a home, though nothing had been stolen. During the course of the investigation, authorities learned that Warwick had also been involved in the theft of items from unsecured vehicles on Cherokee and Wynikako Avenue.
After gathering evidence, Delaware State Police issued warrants for Warwick’s arrest. He was arrested on August 29 and taken to Troop 4, where he was charged with multiple offenses, including felony burglary, theft, and attempted theft.
Warwick faces the following charges:
Burglary 3rd Degree (Felony)
Theft under $1,500 (victim is 62 or older) (Felony)
Attempted Theft under $1,500 (victim is 62 or older) (Felony) – 2 counts

Criminal Mischief
Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree – 4 counts
Following his arraignment by Justice of the Peace Court 2, Warwick was released on a $5,000 unsecured bond. Investigations into his involvement in other crimes in the area continue.
