Waterbury Man Kawoine Bell Arrested with 50 Bags of Cocaine

WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — A 36-year-old man from Waterbury, Kawoine Bell, was arrested after police found 50 glassine bags of cocaine in his car, authorities said.

Bell was charged with multiple offenses, including operating a drug factory, misuse of a marker plate, driving with a suspended license, operating a vehicle without insurance, operating an unregistered vehicle, and possession of narcotics with intent to sell.

The arrest occurred on November 11 around 10:25 p.m. when officers were patrolling the Willow Street and Arch Street area. They came across a suspicious, occupied, unregistered vehicle parked in the area. Upon searching the car, police discovered the 50 bags of cocaine, three cell phones, and $293 in cash.

Bell is currently being held on an $80,000 bond and is in the custody of the Connecticut Department of Corrections.
