WARR ACRES, Okla. (KFOR) — Sarah Larayna Holland, a woman from Warr Acres, was arrested on Thursday, August 1, 2024, for allegedly trafficking a minor.
According to the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics (OBN), the agency’s Human Trafficking Unit responded to an apartment complex in Warr Acres on July 29, 2024. Warr Acres Police officers initially encountered a minor who they believed was a potential victim of human trafficking. OBN officials confirmed the discovery, stating that further investigation revealed that the minor had been trafficked by Sarah Larayna Holland, who had connections to the victim’s family.
OBN spokesman Mark Woodward said, “Holland used online platforms to arrange commercial sex encounters, setting up dates with those who responded to the advertisements. She even coached the minor on how to behave during these encounters.”
Holland, who allegedly arranged the meetings and directed the victim’s actions, was arrested and now faces multiple charges, including Human Trafficking of a Minor and Use of a Computer to Violate State Statute. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities warn that more arrests could follow.
Donnie Anderson, Director of the OBN, expressed gratitude for the courage shown by the victim and her mother in speaking out. “We want other victims to know they don’t have to be afraid, they are not alone, and recovery services are available,” Anderson said.
Anyone who suspects human trafficking can report it anonymously to the OBN’s Human Trafficking Tip Line at 855-617-2288 or via Facebook direct message to the agency.
