Walmik Karad, Associate of NCP Minister, Arrested in Extortion Case

Walmik Karad, an associate of NCP Minister Dhananjay Munde, was arrested in an extortion case related to the Beed sarpanch murder. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) informed a Beed court on Wednesday that Karad had been allegedly in contact with the accused on the day of the murder.

Following his arrest, the special MCOCA court remanded Karad to seven-day police custody for further investigation. The case has raised significant attention due to the involvement of a prominent political figure’s associate.

This arrest adds a new layer to the ongoing investigation into the Beed sarpanch murder case, with authorities seeking to determine the extent of Karad’s involvement in the crime.
