Virginia Scroggins Arrested for Meth Possession in Booneville

On October 3, 2024, Virginia Rosesue Scroggins, 31, of Booneville, was arrested at a business off North Second Street and charged with felony methamphetamine possession. Booneville Police Department officers responded to a report of shoplifting at the location and encountered Scroggins during the investigation.

According to a press release from the Booneville Police Department, officers discovered that Scroggins had a felony amount of alleged methamphetamine while examining the shoplifting incident. The case was transferred to the Criminal Investigation Division for further review.

Scroggins has been charged with one felony count of possession of methamphetamine, an amount greater than 1/10th of a gram but less than 2 grams. Her bond has been set at $5,000, pending further legal proceedings.
