Vikram Sahu, Aniket & Dharmpal Held in NEET-UG Scam

The Noida unit of the Special Task Force (STF) has arrested three individuals for running a scam that targeted NEET-UG aspirants and their families by promising to facilitate their admission into medical colleges in exchange for money.

The arrested accused have been identified as:

Vikram Kumar Sahu (30)

Dharmpal Singh

Aniket
(All residents of Delhi)

According to ASP Raj Kumar Mishra of the STF, the gang operated under the pretense of helping students pass the NEET-UG exam or secure MBBS seats, charging Rs5 lakh per candidate.

Initially, Vikram and Aniket operated by facilitating admissions into Vinayaka Mission University in Chennai, where Vikram had himself studied. After relocating to Delhi, they teamed up with Dharmpal Singh and launched a company called ‘Admission View’, collecting data of NEET candidates and calling their families to offer “assistance” in securing seats.

After multiple complaints were filed in 2023, they rebranded under a new company, Shreyanvi EDU OPC PVT LTD, and continued the scam using the same model.

As the NEET-UG exam approached, the gang again began contacting aspirants, falsely claiming they could guarantee success or placement in exchange for large sums of money.

On Saturday, police arrested the trio following a detailed investigation. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Seized Items Include:
10 mobile phones

Aadhaar cards

PAN cards

Data sheets of candidates

Voter ID cards

Passport

Cheque book

A car

Police suspect more individuals may be linked to the racket and are continuing their investigation.
