In a shocking incident, a 31-year-old man from Harmuti, Lakhimpur, identified as Vijay Bumich, allegedly attacked and killed two individuals in Pakke Kessang district, Arunachal Pradesh, on the night of December 3. The victims, Singkap Techi (45) and Mema Gyadi (50), both residents of Passa Camp village, were found dead at the scene, while a third person, Chuma Techi (25), was severely injured and is in critical condition.
Pakke Kessang police have filed a case under sections 103(1), 109(2), and 117(2) BNS. Sub-Inspector Tage Kapa has been assigned as the investigating officer, and the police quickly apprehended the prime suspect, Vijay Bumich, in connection with the double homicide.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Tasi Darang has urged the public to ensure proper verification of the identity and background of labourers before hiring them, including obtaining valid address proof and police clearance. He also emphasized the importance of providing separate accommodations for workers away from the employer’s family and obtaining the necessary Inner Line Permit (ILP) for those working in restricted areas.
The police investigation into the case is ongoing, and authorities are working to uncover more details surrounding the tragic incident.
