Two individuals, Victoria Renee Martinez and Christopher Manley, face serious felony charges after allegedly using a stolen mail key to access and steal personal information from over 50 residents in Houston.
Harris County deputies arrested the pair on November 11, discovering that Martinez and Manley had reportedly adapted a mail key to unlawfully access local mailboxes. Both suspects face multiple charges, including theft of mail, unlawful use of a criminal instrument, and fraudulent possession of identifying information.
One specific charge against them alleges intent to defraud or harm elderly victims, as some of the stolen identifying information belonged to older adults. Investigators noted the potential scale of the theft, citing recovered Social Security numbers, birth dates, and government-issued IDs among the stolen data.
Martinez and Manley remain in Harris County Jail. Martinez is scheduled for her initial court appearance on November 12, while Manley’s hearing is set for November 19.
