Vicksburg Police Arrest Derrick Easter on Aggravated Assault Charges

Derrick Easter Arrested for Aggravated Assault and Vehicle Shooting

On August 15, Vicksburg Police arrested 25-year-old Derrick DeWayne Easter at 210 Ironwood Drive. Easter was wanted on warrants for aggravated assault and shooting into an unoccupied vehicle.

Easter appeared before Municipal Court Judge Angela Carpenter on August 16, who set his bond at $275,000.

In addition to Easter’s arrest, the Vicksburg Police Department is investigating other recent incidents:

At 9:32 p.m. on Thursday, officers responded to a residential burglary at a home on the 400 block of Mission 66. The victim reported that their son-in-law entered through a bedroom window and stole a 9mm Forest handgun.
On August 15 at 3:43 p.m., a report of credit card fraud was filed. The victim claimed an unauthorized purchase totaling $616.17 was made using their credit card.
