Vicksburg Police and Warren County Deputies Arrest Multiple Suspects

VICKSBURG, MS – In a coordinated effort, the Vicksburg Police Department and the Warren County Sheriff’s Office conducted a successful operation last Thursday, resulting in multiple arrests. Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace emphasized the operation’s focus on outstanding warrants, narcotics, and other wanted individuals, noting that this would not be the last such initiative.

Among those arrested were 32-year-old Steven Eugene Sanders from Warren County, 27-year-old Nicholas Sanders from Claiborne County, and 24-year-old Latrell Ward from Vicksburg.

Steven Sanders was apprehended in the 7000 block of Freetown Road, where deputies believed he was residing. He was arrested for a probation violation related to drug court.

Nicholas Sanders was taken into custody in the 100 block of Kings Row and was wanted in Claiborne County for aggravated assault.

Latrell Ward was arrested on four counts of possession of a controlled substance after deputies stopped his vehicle for a driver’s license check at the intersection of Porters Chapel and Halls Ferry roads. The deputies detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, prompting a search that uncovered a significant amount of marijuana, along with methamphetamines, cocaine, and fentanyl.

Sheriff Pace highlighted the operation’s success and the ongoing commitment to addressing narcotics-related issues in the community.
