Vasundhara Oswal, the 26-year-old daughter of billionaire Pankaj Oswal, is facing serious kidnapping and murder charges in Uganda. Since October 1, 2024, she has been in police custody, accused of kidnapping and murdering Mukesh Menaria, a former employee of the Oswal family. Her sister, Riddhi Oswal, asserts that Vasundhara was unlawfully seized by “armed corrupt officials” during a visit to a factory site in Uganda.
The Oswal family has vehemently denied the allegations, claiming that Vasundhara is alive and suggesting that her family has relocated to Tanzania. “The ordeal began when corrupt officials took Vasundhara away on false pretenses after an unwarranted raid turned up no evidence of wrongdoing,” Riddhi explained in an email. “Her most basic human rights were violated, as Ugandan authorities denied her legal representation and detained her without any formal charges.”
Riddhi’s statements highlight the family’s belief that the accusations against Vasundhara are fabricated and that her detention is illegal. The situation remains tense as the family seeks justice and clarity regarding Vasundhara’s case.
