VASS, N.C. — Thirty-seven-year-old Amanda Taylor has been charged with stealing over $1,300 worth of merchandise from a Walmart in Aberdeen.

The Aberdeen Police Department received a report regarding the theft on July 7. Chief Brian Chavis announced that investigators reviewed video surveillance of the incident and began sharing images of the suspect with local law enforcement and the public. This led to several tips, ultimately identifying Taylor as the alleged thief.

Warrants for Taylor’s arrest were issued on August 15, charging her with felony larceny and possession of stolen goods.
