In a major breakthrough, the Chintapalli sub-division police arrested Ulangi Prakash, a key figure involved in the illegal manufacturing and smuggling of 53 kg of liquid ganja, also known as hash oil, in the G. Madugula area of Alluri Sitharama Raju (ASR) district, Andhra Pradesh. The estimated market value of the seized hash oil is over Rs5 crore.
The arrest took place as part of Operation Parivarthana, a coordinated effort between the Annavaram Police and the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Task Force. Under the supervision of ASR Superintendent of Police Tuhin Sinha and Additional SP K Kishore, authorities tracked and apprehended Prakash while he was in the process of transporting the illicit substance from Alagam Village, located in G. Madugula Mandal.
The successful operation underscores the intensified efforts of law enforcement agencies in combating drug trafficking in the region.
