Udupi Police Arrest Sapaz & Charan for Marijuana Possession

The Udupi Sen Police have arrested two individuals in connection with the illegal possession of marijuana near Narayana Nagar Road in Puttur village. The arrested suspects are Sapaz (29), a resident of Naringana village in Bantwal Taluk, and Charan U. Bhandari (19), from Santhekatte, Udupi.

During the operation, the police seized 740 grams of marijuana, valued at Rs53,300. Additionally, a scooter worth Rs25,000, Rs2,170 in cash, two mobile phones, and a knife were recovered. The total estimated value of the seized items amounts to Rs98,770.

The arrests were made as part of a strategic operation led by Sen Police Station Inspector Ramachandra Nayak, with the guidance of Probationary DySP Geetha Patil. Sub-Inspector Pavan Nayak and the Sen Police Station staff, including Praveen Kumar, Rajesh, Venkatesh, Nilesh, Raghavendra, Prashant, and Charanraj, provided crucial support in executing the raid.

The police are continuing their search for other suspects who may be involved in the marijuana trade in the region.
