Tyler Ternberg Denied Bond in Homicide of 4-Year-Old Girl

A man from Simpsonville, South Carolina, has been denied bond in connection to the tragic death of a 4-year-old girl. Tyler David Ternberg, 28, was arrested on Thursday, charged with homicide by child abuse.

The incident occurred on December 23, when deputies were called by Prisma Hospital to investigate the case of a hospitalized child named Addison. The young girl, who had special needs, passed away on December 26 from blunt force trauma. The coroner’s office ruled her death as homicide.

Investigators allege that Ternberg, the boyfriend of the child’s mother, caused non-accidental trauma to Addison while caring for her. On Friday, Ternberg was denied bond during a hearing. Authorities continue to investigate the case, and updates will follow.
