Tyler Paul of Prattville Charged with Burglary and Theft

Tyler Paul, a 27-year-old resident of Prattville, was arrested Thursday morning and charged with Burglary 3rd Degree, Theft of Property 1st Degree, and Possession of Burglary Tools. He was processed and taken to the Elmore County Jail with a $30,000 bond.

The arrest occurred in the early hours of October 24, 2024, when Millbrook police, conducting a routine patrol in the 2000 block of Downing Street, noticed a suspicious vehicle near a storage facility. Upon investigation, officers discovered locks that appeared freshly cut inside the vehicle. They subsequently found items that had been removed from a nearby storage unit. A detective from the Criminal Investigations Unit later confirmed the stolen items and ensured their return to the rightful owner.

Millbrook Police Chief commended the officers for their vigilance, stating that night shift patrols play a crucial role in deterring crime and protecting local businesses. Further investigation revealed that Paul is wanted on a similar warrant in Tennessee, and local authorities are coordinating with Tennessee officials on his outstanding cases.
