Two Youths Arrested in Tirupati with 22 Kgs of Ganja

On Monday, the Alipiri Circle police in Tirupati city arrested two individuals, Guna Shekhar and Muni Bharani, after seizing 22 kilograms of ganja from their possession. The pair, both residents of Tirupati, were taken into custody under section 22[A] of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

According to the police, the accused had been storing the illicit ganja at Shekhar’s residence in Yashoda Nagar. From there, they were distributing the drugs in smaller quantities throughout the city. They were arrested near the Kapilatheertham Road junction after exhibiting suspicious behavior. It was noted that Bharani had a history of involvement in three previous ganja-related cases within the district.
