Two Women Arrested in Livestreamed Fatal Shooting of Photographer

SANFORD, FL — Lakevia Davonna Pringle, 31, and Savon Chantay Tyler, 35, were arrested in connection with the murder of photographer Lauren Ashley Martin, 34, following an altercation outside Tyler’s home that was partially livestreamed on social media.

Police reported an ongoing feud between Martin and Tyler, leading Martin to drive to Tyler’s residence to confront her while livestreaming. The argument escalated when Tyler allegedly struck Martin with a bat, which Martin reportedly took away, prompting Tyler to retrieve a firearm and shoot her. Pringle, Tyler’s girlfriend, allegedly recorded and encouraged the attack.

Tyler faces a first-degree premeditated homicide charge and has pleaded not guilty. Pringle, charged as an accessory, turned herself in and awaits further court proceedings. The incident has left a family mourning, with Sanford Police Chief Cecil Smith emphasizing that “there are choices other than violence.”
