Two Women Arrested in Kharibari with Brown Sugar and Cash

In a recent crackdown on drug trafficking, the Kharibari police have successfully arrested Rajani Giri (30) and Riya Das (29), residents of Goursingh Jote, Kharibari. The women were caught in possession of 19 grams of brown sugar and a substantial amount of Rs4,70,500 in cash.

The police action was initiated following a tip-off, leading to a raid on the India-Nepal border in the Goursingh Jote area. The arrest is part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in the region. Both women were presented in Siliguri Sub-Divisional Court on Sunday.

The Kharibari police continue to investigate the incident, and further details are expected as the case unfolds.
