On Friday, two siblings were arrested in Patna district for allegedly killing Vikas Kumar (25), a young man who had been in a relationship with their sister. The incident occurred on the night of December 21, when Vikas went to meet the sister of the accused in the Beldari Chak area. The victim’s body was found in a pit in the same area on December 22.
The arrested individuals, Deepak Kumar (alias Deepu) and Mahavir, were identified after a complaint was filed by Vikas’s family. Beldari Chak SHO Manish Kumar revealed that, through investigation and technical analysis, the police were able to trace the accused. One of the suspects confessed that the motive behind the murder was due to the ongoing relationship between Vikas and their sister, which led to the violent act.
Another brother involved in the crime is currently on the run. The police are continuing their investigation to locate the third suspect and bring them to justice.
