Two Nigerian Nationals Arrested in Delhi for Cocaine Trafficking

The Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested two Nigerian nationals and their cab driver for allegedly trafficking cocaine in the Delhi-NCR region. According to officials, the authorities seized 563 grams of pure cocaine, valued at approximately Rs 3.3 crore, during the operation.

The arrests were made on September 27 after the Crime Branch team acted on a tip-off about a Nigerian drug trafficker operating in the area. Joshua Amarachukwa, 30, and his associate, Vinit, 24, who served as the cab driver, were detained during the raid. Amarachukwa had been residing in Delhi’s Sunlight Colony on a medical visa since 2021, the police revealed.

During the investigation, 257 grams of cocaine were found in Amarachukwa’s possession. Further inquiry into the suspects’ operations is underway as the police aim to dismantle the larger drug trafficking network involved in this case.
