“Two New Jersey Men Arrested in Guilderland Scam Operation”

GUILDERLAND, NY — Two New Jersey men were arrested on February 14 following an alleged scam operation in Guilderland.

The incident began when a senior resident contacted the Guilderland Police after suspecting they were targeted in a scam. Police set up an undercover operation, where an officer delivered a package reportedly containing $31,000 to a pre-arranged location — the Hannaford on Western Avenue.

The undercover officer made contact with the suspects and handed over the package. Once the transaction was complete, the first suspect was arrested. A second suspect, who had been dropped off at the scene, attempted to flee but was apprehended shortly afterward by Guilderland police.

The suspects were identified as Nicholas T. Bialobzreski, 21, and Max Baraiya, 21, both from Jersey City, NJ. They were charged with attempted grand larceny in the third degree, a class E felony. Both men were arraigned in Guilderland Town Court and released under probation supervision.
