Two Murders in Udaipur’s Pratap Nagar Area, One Arrested

In a shocking series of events, two murders have been reported in Udaipur’s Pratap Nagar area in the past three days. On Thursday morning, police discovered the body of a watchman, Laduram, under a highway bridge. The victim, who worked as a security guard at a nearby construction site, was found with severe head injuries, possibly caused by a large stone. Initial investigations suggest the murder may be linked to an attempted theft of construction material. The police recovered a blood-stained stone from the crime scene and are reviewing CCTV footage to identify the killers.

In a separate case, the murder of Hemant Oswal, a jewelry trader from Ahmedabad, was solved within 24 hours of his body being discovered on Tuesday in Nakoda Nagar, Udaipur. Vikram Soni, a resident of Nathdwara, was arrested for allegedly murdering Oswal over a debt payment. Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal confirmed that police teams analyzed CCTV footage from over 100 cameras and used electronic surveillance to quickly identify both the victim and the perpetrator. Soni allegedly murdered Oswal during his visit to Udaipur to collect payment for a previous silver transaction. Police have also recovered Oswal’s stolen car and are continuing their investigation.

While the Hemant Oswal murder has been resolved, the investigation into Laduram’s death is still ongoing.
