Two Men Charged in Rikki Berry’s Murder Case

Two men have appeared in court charged with the murder of Rikki Berry, who was fatally shot on a Merseyside street.

Berry, 36, succumbed to his injuries in hospital following the shooting on Quarryside Drive in Kirkby, Knowsley, on July 17.

Connor Walsh, 26, of Simonswood Lane, Kirkby, and Michael Smith, 26, who is of no fixed abode, are both accused of murdering Berry.

The defendants appeared via video link at Liverpool Crown Court on Friday and were remanded in custody until a plea hearing scheduled for November 1. A provisional trial date has been set to begin on January 20 at Liverpool Crown Court.

Merseyside Police are urging anyone with information or witnesses to come forward.
