Two Men Charged for Car Theft from Gettysburg Dealership

Two men from Maryland have been charged in connection with the theft of two vehicles from a Gettysburg dealership in April.

Jefferson Ventura, 18, and London Flores, 19, both from Silver Spring, Maryland, are facing felony charges of theft, burglary, and criminal mischief for the April 26, 2024, thefts at Renn Kirby Chevrolet in Straban Township.

According to an affidavit of probable cause, Ventura, Flores, and a third unidentified accomplice allegedly stole a silver 2024 Chevrolet Corvette, valued at $88,640, and a yellow 2018 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 convertible, worth $58,500. The investigation has also linked the pair to similar thefts from car dealerships in both Pennsylvania and Maryland.

The affidavit states that around 12:06 a.m., the three suspects, driving a dark blue Dodge Challenger Hellcat, arrived at the dealership’s lot in Straban Township. Ventura exited the vehicle and used an unknown object to shatter the glass door of the showroom. He and Flores then entered the building. The third suspect remained in the Dodge Challenger and drove off after the theft, the affidavit says.

Inside, Ventura and Flores started the Corvette and Camaro but couldn’t open the glass doors to drive them out. They then found the keys to a Chevy Equinox parked outside and used it to ram the showroom doors. The Equinox collided with another Chevy Equinox and damaged a Harley-Davidson motorcycle inside.

After the destruction, the three suspects fled the scene in the Corvette, Camaro, and the Dodge Challenger.

The Corvette was equipped with OnStar, which was activated around 10:29 a.m. on April 26, disabling the engine. GPS tracking led Montgomery County Police to Silver Spring, Maryland, where the Corvette was found covered by a tarp on the 10,000 block of Huntley Place. The vehicle had a stolen Pennsylvania license plate, which was traced back to a theft at a dealership in Chester County, Pennsylvania, on April 24, 2024.
