Mangalhat police arrested Akash Kumar (20) and Piyush (19) on Tuesday for their involvement in a theft at the Kiara Kitchen Hardware godown earlier this month. The police recovered stolen property worth Rs17.30 lakh from the duo.
The theft was reported by the godown owner, Shravan Kumar, who filed a complaint against the two men. He claimed that his brother-in-law, Akash Kumar, and Piyush had stolen goods worth Rs17.50 lakh over a period of time. The suspects were arrested near Aghapura Chowrastha in Mangalhat, and the stolen items were seized.
The police are continuing their investigation into the case.
