Two Men Arrested in Connection with Redmond Home Burglary
Two men have been arrested following a residential burglary in Redmond on October 13, 2024.
At around 11:00 a.m., Redmond police responded to a report of a burglary in progress at a home on NE 99th Way. The homeowner had observed two male suspects on surveillance footage stealing jewelry.
The suspects fled the scene in a black Kia, and the homeowner pursued them in their own vehicle. A witness later reported seeing the suspects abandon the car, tossing stolen items into a nearby brush, before fleeing on foot.
Officers launched an immediate search of the area and recovered the stolen jewelry, which was valued at approximately $8,000.
After thorough investigation, including witness testimony, video evidence, and interagency cooperation, Redmond detectives identified the suspects as 21-year-old Iustinian Iamandita and 32-year-old Florin Vaduva.
Authorities suspect that the pair is connected to an organized Roma crime group believed to be responsible for several burglaries in Redmond and surrounding areas.
The Redmond Police Department expressed gratitude to the Kent Police Department for their support in apprehending the suspects.
