Two Men Arrested After Armed Robbery Near Topeka

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) — Two men were arrested following an armed robbery reported on Monday night just north of Topeka. Shawnee County sheriff’s deputies responded to a medical emergency call at approximately 9:15 p.m. on N.W. Elmont Road, only to find that an armed robbery had just occurred.

Officials said that a 61-year-old man had been robbed at gunpoint, with both his vehicle and money taken during the incident. The two suspects were apprehended later that night.

The arrested individuals were identified as:

Jaterri J. Davis, 36, of Topeka, who was booked into the Shawnee County Jail at 12:45 a.m. Tuesday. Davis faces charges of aggravated robbery, aggravated assault, criminal trespass, theft of a motor vehicle, theft, criminal possession of a weapon by a felon, possession of an opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Diamantae Te’Rion-Michael Boyd, 31, of Junction City, who was booked into the Shawnee County Jail at 4:15 a.m. Tuesday. Boyd faces charges including possession of an opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of stolen property, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
