Hyderabad’s Cyber Crime Police have arrested two men from Gujarat for allegedly duping a Hyderabad-based doctor of Rs 3 crore in a digital scam. The accused, identified as Harpal Singh, 54, and Syed Aiyub Bhai, 50, impersonated government officials and tricked the victim into believing she was involved in a fake money laundering case.

The fraudsters demanded a large sum from the doctor to “prove her innocence,” further pressuring her with threats of legal action. After a thorough investigation, the police were able to track down and arrest the duo, bringing the digital scam to an end.

Authorities are now working to uncover whether the accused have been involved in other similar fraudulent activities.
