In a significant breakthrough, the Mirchowk Police have apprehended two burglars and successfully recovered stolen goods valued at Rs2.60 lakh. The arrested suspects, Mohd Noor Hassan (33), a photo frame worker from Noor Khan Bazaar, and Himayath Hussain Ansari (23), a self-employed resident of Farath Nagar, Dabeerpura, were taken into custody after a quick investigation.
The incident unfolded on the night of February 4, 2025, when Mohd Imran (29), a businessman from MGBS, discovered that his iron locker, which contained Rs2,00,000 in cash, gold jewelry, five passports, three RC books for two-wheelers, and a Rado watch, was missing from his house.
Upon checking the CCTV footage, the victim saw two unknown individuals near his residence around 4:30 AM. One of them was seen entering the house by unlocking the door latch, and within minutes, both burglars fled with the locker.
Upon receiving the victim’s complaint, the Mirchowk Police team, led by SHO R. Ravinder, swiftly acted and arrested the two suspects. The team, which included N. Dilip Kumar (DI Mirchowk), SI P. Arunoday, HC Srinivas Rao, PC Santhosh, PC Anil, and PC Sai Kiran, conducted a detailed investigation that led to the arrest of the perpetrators and recovery of the stolen items.
The quick response and investigation by the police have been praised by the local community, as valuable possessions were recovered and the suspects were taken into custody without delay.
